About the event
The fourth edition of the North Beach Soccer Club Charity Match for Brain Cancer Awareness is here, and this year we are going bigger than ever before.
Three games, one night. All for one cause, raising awareness about the impact of cancer on those in our North Beach family, and raising money for the organisations that are fighting to eradicate the disease. This year, we are teaming up with the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation to continue the fight against brain cancer.
Ali Westwood, Beach player, ex-coach and golden boot winner, was diagnosed and underwent surgery for brain cancer in 2021. Ali’s father, Trevor, was also diagnosed shortly after Ali. Senior men’s player Callum Parker lost his mother, Nikki Parker, in October 2022 after a 15-month battle with Brain Cancer.
